Cross: Maui Waui x Tutti Frutti Description: Mai Tai is a hybrid weed strain made from a genetic cross between Maui Waui and Tutti Frutti strains. This bud brings the best of its insanely delicious flavor to a super lifted full-bodied high, creating the perfect recipe for a lazy afternoon spent with friends or family. Bred by unknown breeders, Mai Tai features flavors like citrus, fruity, and sour. The dominant terpene of this strain is limonene. This strain has a sweet and citrusy tropical fruity flavor with a touch of sharp mint to it, too. The aroma is just as delicious, with a fruity berry overtone accented by sweet and sour citrus and sharp flowery mint. Mai Tai buds have fluffy dense oversized bright neon green nugs with golden amber undertones, orange hairs and a coating of golden amber crystal trichomes.

Not to be confused with Mai Tai Cookies, the strain Mai Tai has a few questions surrounding its origins. On the one hand, we have the tale that seems to be most commonly told: Mai Tai is a cross of Maui Waui and Tutti Frutti. However, one of the prominent California cultivators, Jungle Boys, claims that they use a cross of Purple Punch and Sunset Sherbert to produce their version of Mai Tai. Despite these differences, the fruity aroma of this strain is reminiscent of the cocktail from which it draws its name. This strain can be extremely potent with THC results getting as high as 30% THC for certain grows.
